Adolphe Deloffre conducted the premieres of all these operas?

What Es shared a two-year job with a one-event last nighter; premiered a concerto by the composer who won a Pulitzer in 1950; and played his first recurring role in a television series opposite James Garner in 1957

                What a dilettante...

                Concert? Supper?

I'd never heard of Deloffre, I must say, and had no idea that Paul Creston was born Giuseppe Guttoveggio (can the latter be true?)

I remember Burgess Meredith had a recurring role opposite Garner in a detective show I watched when a kid (can't recall the name just now) but that was a decade later...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Are you thinking of The Rockford Files? I've been looking at Maverick - no joy so far musically.
Are some parts of this concerned with librettos rather than full on composing?

Efrem Kurtz & John Pritchard shared the music directorship of RLPO for two years; Pritchard was allowed only one Last Night of the Proms because he was clearly dying of cancer. Good arrers, cloughie
