"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Come along, folks! "Two points, two flats and a packet of gravel!"

What's the J word? (I'll be away from the computer for an hour or two in about 15 mins)

        Further hint:

You are correct... I'm offline shortly so shall I give the rather tedious connection that Samson and Solomon each feature a chorus with Jehovah in the title, and he crops up likewise in the Occasional Oratorio and Deborah and no doubt others... and of course in Life of Brian

clip from monty pythons life of brian, where poor old man is about to be stoned for uttering the word Jehovah. Funny clip with John Cleese and Graham Chapman.

I have to say I think the K is all yours...

cheers mercs - Britten Peter Grimes, Messiaen Turangalila, and Bartok Sz116 (Concerto for Orchestra) are all commissions from Serge Koussevitzky - what a fine record he had

This L may sound A note to you but to another concerned with earthly force it is more indigo/blue violet
