No, but the wenches are Italian, from a village near Naples.

Well I'll venture it's Valentino anyway.

Valentino Urbani was a singer that sang in many of Handels opera's - Rinaldo for one.

Valentino Bucchi wrote an opera called Il coccadrillo (The Crocodile) based on a story of Dostoyevsky (from Italian opera since 1945).

                Leaves the three wenches.....

Edit: rummage, rummage rummage in wiki...

these be Rosa, Agata and Giannetta from Le cantartrici villane by one Valentino Fioravanti.

                  Leaves the three wenches.....
Some may say they were boorish, but they had aspirations in their singing

Por Valentino Urbani was a castrato (hence the "high score" ).

I wondered if some might mistake the spelling for a certain footballer who has too many balls ...

                      Never mind

Please don't have me Quaking, I'm not trying to be Whitty, but is your spelling intentionally questionable? Waltz?? Isabel??

                            Please forgive my foolish ways!

You will not be exonerated Flay, for St Thomas Wake is correct. Thus no spelling mistake where Isobel is concerned, but the waltz - yes, sorry that has to do with my 2nd language where "walz" is how it is spelled. Can't help that at times, I just don't see the mistake!

Forked tongues, huh? Well never mind. I'll keep quiet about the rest as what I thought would be the answer will make a good clue for later on...
