Whoops! Yes, Adolphe Adam. I really need to keep on my toes - perhaps I'm suffering from first-night jitters

Giselle dates from 1841 and The Coachman of Lonjumeau dates from 1836 but as far as I can see only the dancers have a spring in their step

                  as you were

Giselle (1841) and Le postillon de Lonjumeau (1836) premiered in Paris [as did some other Adam ballets and operas I think]

all of Delibes's ballets premiered in Paris and it looks as if most of Messager's operas and operettas premiered in Paris

I never said Printemps was the answer.....
Anyway - they all composed music for ballets that were premiered in Paris, which fine city was the link.
I'll go and join the Q for the next question - unless mercs prefers to jump to R.

indeed you didn't - I don't know why I jumped to that conclusion, and apologies to anyone who followed me there - this is rather a silly Q but hopefully gettable

                      a Q please to connect

a nutcracker instrument, a sixth oboe and some Kuhlau variations

Seven-and-a-half hours and nobody's dared attempt this? Is everyone quailing in terror at this?

One of the toy instruments in the Nutcracker was seemingly a Q
In Beethoven 6 the oboe was the Q
Kuhlau Op 75 was Variations on The Q's Beating

                              Not 100% on any though
