I terribly sorry.... I have a houseful this weekend, and they gambolled off for an evening out, leaving me to listen to the EMS on Notre-Dame... I've now tried twice and each time the music has sent me to sleep - in the best possible way. I find all that Léonin and Pérotin lulls me into immediate slumber. Not very far on this. The founder of the nocturne would be John Field I assume. Weber (Carl Maria von?) didn't live very long so wondering whether it's a composer or conductor or instrumentalist who studied with him.... but too early for a clue I reckon!Comment
