[Memories come into Buffets and Rewards, too, by the way - but nothing to do with Elaine Paige! QUOTE]
Silly me...I couldn't see the link between 'Buffets (i.e. Buff faze = finger food) and 'Rewards', until I realized you meant 'Buffet' (i.e. Buffert = Warren).
"Brtickbats and Bouquets" also works quite well.

I accept neither blame nor credit, Norths: 'twas the title chosen by the English publishers of Weingartner's memoirs. I was also momentarily puzzled by the reference to finger-food when I read the title, until I realized that it was more to do with buffeted by the winds of Fate.
"Brickbats and Bouquets" also works quite well.

A Z to link the musicians Orpheus and Aisha ( ) with Putney.
I've been looking up Mohammed's wife Aisha then remembered that she is a "musician" *DOH*
Is it to do with this lady: "Aisha, sometimes Sister Aisha (born Pamela Ross, 1962, Wolverhampton, England)[1] is a roots reggae singer" ?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
wrote libretto for Birtwistle's Mask of Orpheus
did electronic stuff (I paraphrase) in his Putney garden shed with Delia Derbyshire & Brian Hodgson
???? composed something for Kazakh violinist Aisha Orazbayeva ????

Welcome back mercia, as ever with the answer!
The Z is indeed Peter Zinovieff who made the VCS 3 Synthesizer nicknamed the "Putney" (on which I learnt the basics of electronic music, although even by then a bit of a dinosaur, but fun).
As you say he also wrote the libretto for Birtwistle's Mask of Orpheus and wrote a "concerto" OUR for the violinist Aisha Orazbayeva with electronics, of which 5 Bagatelles were made and feature on her debut CD "Outside".
