Norfolk Born
I just popped in to see what was going on, and will now return to my recording of 'All Quiet On The Western Front' . I think the soldiers on the front line had more idea of what was going on than I have about the current question.

well all I can offer is
Vaughan Williams - On Wenlock Edge for tenor & piano quintet - though exactly which parts this sets I can't find out
Ireland - Land of Lost Content
Gurney - not sure, could be Ludlow & Teme and The Wetern Playland which set Housman but whether they are Shropshire Lad I can't find out

Vaughan Williams: On Wenlock Edge
Gurney: On Wenlock Edge
Ireland: Hawthorn Time (first line: " 'Tis time, I think, by Wenlock town" )
I think the next question goes to antongould. He got "Wenlock" and one of the composers. His choice of X or Y.
