No. These are literal translations. The S is a composer.

Yes indeed - sorry hedgehog, haven't had hardly a moment to do justice to your puzzle... Easy does it

Bonne nuit à tous et à toutes.

I had worried that Miss Tiggy would be shaken (but not stirred) by our absence yesterday

Not so easily shaken, nor stirred - would you care to play this again Sam ?

Would the first two be Messrs Medtner and Rachmaninov?

Me and my dreadful clues. One was maid as an opera; one for a film (but others created of it an oratorio then a ballet); the third also an opera - only performed nearly 100 years later!

I'm travelling this afternoon so I may be unable to reply for some little time. I've an appalling idea that this may be horrifying to some, but it's artic where I'm going

I'm thinking about this one but haven't gotten very far. Is maid a deliberate misspelling or should I be looking at Bizet's Fair maid of Perth? (If so can't see a T there.)

Is Sergei then Prokofiev and then film music of his?

You are getting along just fine, Ms Tiggs.

Yes, the spelling was deliberate. Bizet is one of the answers, but the Maid is not his. Sergei Prok film music is correct
