    I pop back to find the clues as cryptic as ever!

    Is Eureka a sign of your excitement at providing another clue, or is it there for a reason? Perhaps "Revealed" is part of a title?

      No Eureka is a way in to the P - albeit via a sideways path. Who said Eureka? 'Revealed' is not part of the title, but is pertinent to the word starting with P that is the title.

        synonyms for revealed - published, proclaimed, made plain
        eureka said by Archimedes. wiki says there's an opera called Archimedes by James Dashow (American but not jazz) written to be performed in a planetarium

        shall I hold any of those thoughts ?

            ... is this a "Google Translate"?

            Anyroad up:

            Louis Andriessen: De Volharding ( = "Persistence");
            Richard Causton: The Persitence of Memory;
            Joe Magnarelli: Persistence

            ... perhaps?

              By 'eck, tha's Persistence is gratifyin'

              Researching all this has bagged me a new word: palimpsest.

              Fortunately it is not an unwanted intrusion by an impotent parent , but

              a manuscript page from a scroll or book from which the text has been scraped or washed off and which can be used again.
              The subject of this website is a manuscript of extraordinary importance to the history of science, the Archimedes Palimpsest.

                ... Flay - as you like palimpsest you might also enjoy a not-unrelated word :

                [Not that this has anything to do with the pursuit of the P here... ]

                  That is kind of you. I am sure that to some pentimento is as objectionable as portamento.

                  Perhaps you could start a new thread of interesting and unusual words?

                    Well, Palimpsest is at least connected to Archimedes - and I think there's a piece by George Benjamin with that title ...

                            Holt's work lasts 51 minutes. It is rather like listening to "Jesus' Love"
