    No. They may be among the cowpats, but they are not involved here.

      So, to recap, are we looking for three cowpat composers each with a W surname rather than three cowpat composers and a common word beginning with W in their symphonies?

        You should be looking for three cowpat composers, only one (already identified) with a W surname, linked by works (not symphonies) involving a W.

          I am thinking, possibly Delius, not sure, or Ireland, not sure, will look into it!

            Ireland is a second one required. I don't think Delius was ever considered part of the "cowpat" school.

                Not that I am aware of. Is this question proving to be a little too edgy for you?

                    No, not at all edgy. A little too difficult I think! I will leave it to others I think.

                        Off topic, the Housman poem starts

                        On Wenlock Edge the wood's in trouble
                        His forest fleece the Wrekin heaves;
                        The gale, it plies the saplings double,
                        And thick on Severn snow the leaves.

                          This is very much ON topic (at least for two of the composers).

                            I don't deserve this - are we talking Butterworth? Moeran? Gurney? See I have no clue not edgy or cool!

                              Gurney is the third to add to the two previously identified.
