                  OK

Nay, I’ll not swop [sic] the G-G for his donkey, burlesque as it is! The third is a grazer too.

A G to make some sense of this please!

(I'll be around for about 20 mins, but then away until ± 5pm)

                    Is G-G a clue?

Mesuspects a single work with a Movement marked "Burlesque" and a Third in a pastoral mood?

"G-G" isn't a reference to Gerard Grisey, is it?

                            intriguing and cryptic

                            swop instead of swap
I haven't found any horsey burlesques yet
Gilbert wrote some burlesques but I don't think they involve animals
another "grazer" - is that another animal or perhaps a pugilist of some sort

I am thinking - crossposted with some more intelligent thinking

is Georg Telemann's Don Quichotte (who had a horse) a burlesque ?

                              Don Qui = donkey

You've got it, mercs! The third movement of this "Burlesque Suite" is about the attack on the sheep (grazers)!

                                Must be it!
