Sorry! I've only just got back in. "Very topical" suggests Comic Relief - and "Dancing Sailors" might suggest the Morecambe & Wise sketch based on "There is nothing like a dame" performed by the newsreaders of the day - but it could also just refer to a hornpipe. Not sure about "remembrance" ("Rosemary"?), nor which "Tony". Vivaldi was the Red Priest?

Any of this any use?

It was so unfair, I had some work to do this afternoon Friday too

I think the middle bit is about poppies - Red for remembrance and also from a work by Glière which was unknown to me until about 45 seconds ago but is a classic bit of Anna Knowledge!!

I'd heard of The Red Pony Suite, but I don't think I've ever heard it (and had forgotten all about it until you mentioned it ) and didn't know about the frolicsome seamen.

I have a Q if nobody objects to bouncing around the alphabet.

Sorry, you were all talking at once! Yes, The Red Pony by Copland, film score. The book was by John Steinbeck. So well done ferney and it doesn't matter if we mix the alphabet up!
