I mean Yes!!! And for his thirty-sixth birthday! (Gerichtsherr Carl Heinrich von Dieskau's I assume from the badly written Wicki entry)

I am too distracted today. A near neighbour who is a joiner came around to give us an estimate on putting on a new bannister and has now dismantled half the staircase, plasterboard everywhere!
    Pacta sunt servanda !!!

They're quite tall, gumtrees, but plenty of places up there to perch - you should be able to make yourself quite comfortable...

Cool question actually. Just a pity about the subsequent clues

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Don't be too hard on him, he not only has an unstable staircase, Mrs. Flay breathing down his neck and also a joiner for whom he has to make endless cups of tea!! Mercia takes the honours I think having first identified Peasant

And plenty to hang myself from.

Mrs Flay will not be impressed when she comes home to find no bannister and gaping holes. She has some old friends coming to stay while I am skiing next week.

I am worried she might fall off the edge...

Looks like the P is taken.

Please watch it through. Brilliant for 1935. I never knew Bluto was such an accomplished violinist!

If ferney doesn't want to take it (as he got one element as well) I don't mind obliging but only if I can miss out Q and go to R.

I think taking into account the Mercia Excuse-Me Rule, and R from Anna would be perfectly in order...

Well, ferney hasn't indicated if he wants to set a Q and I have to depart now until just after 2.00 - if he declines then I'll be back then with an R. I think that's fair.

There are some amusing bits in that Popeye cartoon (I thought Roger Norrington wouldn't be out of place in it ) but overall I've always found them pretty grotesque and slightly nightmarish.

Loved the percussionist cooking his steak on a cymbal though
