Yawn……goodness, Caliban’s been making alphabet soup again !

People seemed a little jaded with AA, I thought a little nap might be a good thing, pity Anna hasn’t come up with a J yet.

But I have one, so I suggest that Caliban retrieves his Z from the playing field and keeps it for later

    on (somewhere after Q, V….. )

    Claude’s in this French J, it’s also a fairy’s and a secret!

I'd better answer Z otherwise the headgirl will be complaining - I don't think two questions on the go at once is allowed

Das Orakel zu Delfi - 1872
Cleopatra, oder Durch drei Jahrtausende - 1875
Der kleine Don Juan - 1879

Ziehrer - fierce rival of the Strauss family and proud owner of a 'Schnurrbart' moustache apparently - prolific composer of waltzes, polkas and marches

if my German was good enough I could translate the titles of his other operettas, they look curious

sounds vaguely horticultural to me, but I don't have green fingers, so someone else will have to have a dig around

          Quite correct, mercia! Many thanks!

Is Claude getting a little wet ? And is he there with Maurice and Kaija ?

I said "in this J", so singular!

A little more obscure, the song Dans le jardin

                    But otherwise well dug!

In 1975, definitely teatime with Ronald Binge!

I love Bob, deliciously eccentric ol' hippy that he is. Imagine, in a proper republic we could elect President Flowerdew

                              - I'd love a "Vote Bob!" poster (made out of compostable recycled paper, of course).
