More composers could have met on the intersection, but then it wouldn't have been a T

There is a certain logic involved in my choice of these three, however.

I like your teasing style, hedgehog

(Been trying to think of puns... 'a prickly question'... but thought better of it )

The "T" in question is a person. I think you are all just trying to avoid setting a "U"

We would never shy away from our obligations to AA!

                  Could it be Toshi Ichiyanagi?

No the person in question is not a composer, but is an important person in another discipline within the Arts. Surname.

I'm afraid I've been relying on wikipedia to give me the answer, but it has failed miserably

someone, perhaps, who has commissioned works from all three ?
someone, perhaps, who has written about all three ?
an author, perhaps, or painter or poet who has inspired all three ?

I think #30729 suggests it isn't any sort of musician

you must be amazed/amused that we haven't got it yet

But we never give up. I propose Andrei Tarkovsky

                          Yes Flay, you got there!

BTW I chose Rihm to make up the trio since he dedicated his piece to both Nono and Tarkovsky - made a "T-intersection" in my weird brain

So now it's up to "U".

                            Coleslaw:

Hommage a Andrei Tarkovsky - Wolfgang Rihm
Nostalghia—In Memory of Andrei Tarkovsky for violin and string orchestra - Takemitzu
"No hay caminos, hay que caminar... Andrei Tarkovsky" - Luigi Nono

                            Now for a bloomin' U-turn
