Anyway, I assume a have a clear path for K, unless mercia asserts his right to set the clue.
A K to link:
A modern work, but with Anglo - Saxon origins
A modern group, but concerned with ancient music
A work featuring one of AA's notable contributors!

What's the other joke? EDIT: The moral is, to read to the end of threads before replying.
Was just curious to know more about 'the wrong Jesus College'..."...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I feel so quilty, it's certainly Four Hail Marys and a Novena for me (and others!) in being so wound up with the rugby and roasting Sunday lunch that no-one has had a shot at Oddball's puzzle! Come on Guys, he's sat there dressed as a white rabbit for four hours without so much of a nibble!!

It's true Anna, I think Sunday afternoon walks / lassitude / rugby &c. have intervened. I have toyed with it mentally without getting down to any serious googling, and am going to be side-tracked for a bit now.
Re the ancient and modern theme and Ks, I can't get out of my mind the bit of research I did yesterday off the back of Meades's 'Essex' programme: the mention of 'Social Credit' (which I remember an elderly relative talking about) led me to the odd outfit called the Kibbo Kift - sort of arts & crafts offshoot of the scouts (the title deriving from ancient Kentish).
None of those Ks of relevance, I shouldn't think, Odders?

I'm glad you appreciate my predicament, Anna!
And could be he.
Agreed Caliban, that Essex is a very interesting county, it's not all boring estates stretching out along the A12, but going far away from London to Chelmsford, Colchester, it is almost in Constable country.
Unfortunately you are heading in the wrong direction!

Well if it's Caliban that means The Tempest. For starters Wiki says that : "At least forty-six operas or semi-operas based on The Tempest exist." Then there's all the incidental music...
This may take some time...
A modern groupPacta sunt servanda !!!
