        Just thought of a Kwik'n'easy K

A viola, a bass voice and a piano prize.

Back in a couple of hours
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

So, just out of interest, cloughie. There's Robert Johnson, the Scottish Renaissance composer; Robert Johnson the English composer who worked with Shakespeare; Robert Sherlaw Johnson, the scholar, composer and bell-ringer; Robert Johnson the faustian Blues guitarist; Robert Johnson, the drummer in KC & the Sunshine Band; even "Robert Johnson", the song by Alexis Korner.

.... and YOU went for BOB CAROLGEES!!!!!??????

Apologies! Perhaps a crack at the puzzle might take your mind off the sense of injustice?

The latter is from the Ferney/Flay part of the world...

Drat it - I was looking at Krzysztof Penderecki whose Kheruvimskaya pesn (Song of Cherubim) has a very low pedal F for the basses http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx3nzrmGXhw
He wrote some viola music and won plenty of prizes, but I don't think for the piano.

So we might be looking at the Leeds International Piano Competition???

Mrs Flay accused me of fraud tonight. She said I'm not the man she married.

She also accused me of getting old
