Didn't mean to be grumpy or unhelpful yesterday, but it didn't strike me that the clues and the language issue were any more complex than many a puzzle here... The answer arose in various places - in English - in my research, so I didn't want to give it away....

I actually use amazon a lot for looking up things. The search box, switched to 'Classical', is a great source of ideas as if you type in the first letter, up jump lots of suggested names... then one can follow through to, for instance: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Halvorsen-Sy...7820382&sr=1-2
