    Anna and Caliban,

    You are both too kind.

I was about to offer Ives' song "The Light that is Felt" as the last element.

I must confess that I know not of Around the Horne and stumbled upon Camp Meeting quite by accident. AtH very much sounds like my kind of thing though

"Round the Horne" is currently on BBC Radio 7 every Monday (8.00, 12.00, and 19.00)

Never heard of Round the Horne? You must be incredibly young then! It's almost become a National Institution and if you like camp humour, you'll love Julian and Sandy.

Edit: Thanks to subcontra for the heads up re Radio 7, hadn't realised they were repeating at the mo got it on now! Actually, listening now, it is just so non-PC isn't it?

My two favourite J &S quotes are the Bona Law sketch where Horne is seeking legal advice and is informed "We have a criminal practice that takes up most of our time" and the one where J & S are explaining to Horne how they were washed overboard ship "And did you manage to drag yourselves up on deck?" asks Horne. "Oooh no, we was just wearing our casuals..."

EDIT: Tapiola, where do you think Julian Clary got his whole persona from? Strongly reccommend you purchase the two double album CDs from the BBC featuring all the Julian and Sandy sketches. Classic stuff.

Not young, Anna, just the product of a sheltered upbringing Feeling especially unyoung today (my birthday).

Thanks also to rubbernecker and subcontra for the AtH recommendations - it seems I have a gap in my education which needs filling. Ahem.

I may have to relinquish my "J" privileges though, as I may be offline shortly for the rest of the day.

May I pass the baton on to one more deserving? Calibs, perhaps???

beckons. With a bit of luck.

You can put as many elements in as you want, but it should be at least three. It was a great clue - the camp meeting part was truly inspired. Oh, and I had a magnificent ride, thanks.

Then very many Happy Returns Tapiola. Have some of these on me

We will leave it for Caliban to accept the baton, if he so desires, I'm happy with that if you really want to relinquish the J

Thanks rubbra, I had intended it to be a rather lighthearted puzzle. As you were up the Sugarloaf the other day I wondered if you were scaling the Blorenge today? Presume you are an off-roader?

Thank you Anna. I shall accept with relish.

Overindulgence at the weekend might curb celebrations this evening, though a few modest glasses of red and some Bakugan-related activities with the childer may be in store.

Ah! many happy returns Mr T! (btw check your PM inbox )

I am about to go out for a few hours so cannot immediately accept the J baton, I'm afraid. Seeing as Rubbers is back with a freshly-oxygenated brain, can I pass it on to him?

If nothing has happened by the time I return, I'll have a stab at J.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                        "Oooh, inshee bold?"

                        "BOLD! She's BOLD!"

"Well, I suppose I like a bit of both"

"Yes, he likes both. He can't decide, you see Mister 'Orne. Like today it was the open road..."

                        "Yes.. smooth..."

"... but sometimes he likes to go - how shall we say? -off the beaten track"

                        "Rough riding..."

"Yes, you like a bit of rough, don't you?"

                        "I do, it's true"

"It's in his genes, Mister 'Orne, he can't control it"

                        "No, look it's starting again..."

"Control yourself! Put it away, out of your mind..."

"But what does his wife have to say about all this?"

                        "Ooh, she doesn't know"

"No, she doesn't, I have to keep it buried"

                        "But does she participate, too?"

                        "Ooh, innee bold?"

                        "No, she just likes walking"

                        "Is she a strong walker?"

"Well no, she struggles a bit on the uphills"

                        "Ooh, don't we all..."

"But she's invested in a pair of poles"

                        "What, like walking sticks?"

"No, not exactly. One's called Lech, he carries her rucksack...."

"Very good at it so I'm told"

"Yes, he was trained at an academy somewhere"

                        "Warsaw?"

"Yes, but he's managed to cope with it quite well..."

"Yes, he keeps it covered up."

                        etc

                        etc

full of the joys, aren't we duckie?

                          I didn't realise that there was a second J&S collection: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bona-World-J...5&sr=8-1-spell

                          I've just invested.

I have long had the first one on cassette for in-car listening, but that is the other CD set now available I guess: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Julian-Sandy...d_bxgy_b_img_b

Tapiola should definitely invest some of his birthday money.

                          I am now late leaving....!

But before I go, another favourite J&S exchange:

SANDY: “Don’t mention Malaga to Julian, he got very badly stung.”
                          HORNE: “Portuguese man o’war?”
JULIAN: “Well I never saw him in uniform…”
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                            rubbra!

I'm really glad my J&S reference has caused a smile on everyones face, Bona, that's what it is, Bona!

As to Caliban not being able to accept (late lunch is it then or an early finish?) If he cannot grasp Tapiola's baton (oooh!) then I'm easy (she ain't 'alf bold!) and as I've solved one and set one to everyones satisfaction (further ooohs! and get 'er! the little Minx!) and I'll not be around much now as I have to prepare an Indian in the kitchen (no, I won't go there!)

So I'll leave it to you boys to decide who wants a quick pick up and a possibly satisfactory finish!
