Not Gloucestershire - You are seeking a link with works by Holst and RVW which have a German link west of Gloucestershire. Oh and a work by Brahms.

And if King Edward be as true and just
As I am subtle, false and treacherous
This day should Clarence closely be mewed up
About a prophecy which says that G
Of Edward's heirs the murderer shall be.

Now there's a father confessor I could relate to!

There's a village called Germansweek in Devon if that's any relevance to anything. (According to my search engine, there is no match anywhere in the entire cyber universe for "Gustav Holst, Germansweek". So I've just created something!)

You can try seeking low and high but I suggest High!

RVW - English Folk Song Suite - 3. March - Folk Songs from Somerset - melody - "High Germany"

EDIT - a wild guess - Holst's Somerset Rhapsody contains the same tune

                            ??
