Couldn't have been easier, really. I fancy exploring the world of Mr Partch - he sounds fascinating. Had mumps, became sterile, became gay, according to wiki

      Care to form a Q ... or an R?

I'm not the biggest brain on the planet, cloughie when it comes to the solving. When I set one, I just let a name pop into my head & then I follow it

As it's New Year's Day, I'll try join the Q for the sales:

Karl handels a lady in a fit of pique - it all makes for a mercurial night at the opera.

Would you care to add a dollop or two of coleslaw?

Nearly, but still a couple of cracks to plaster over.

No; I should have been less ambiguous and said "stay with the Handel character you identified".

By-the-way; to which stick waver were you referring?
