I think you should pause on your travels and get to know said Rawsthorne better, anton

I didn't know that. It could be ok, as an alternative to one element of the question. I was thinking more of Mr R's output.

(I think that's a terribly Northern type of joke, I don't know, being cultured and refined!)

You amended that post since I last looked at it !!! When I read it, it was merely talking about the new man in Flay's life!

Behold the evidence M'Lud. There is no 'Edited' showing, which merely means the witness could have amended it within five seconds of posting. I submit that Your Lordship is a bit quick off the mark in these matters and, should, perhaps, peruse past evidence ...... at your leisure.

Improvisations on a Theme of the (ever) Constant........

Did Sir Cliff give the first performance of AR PC2?

                    Get 'er Mrs Anna QC!!

You can edit for quite a time after, without 'Edited' showing... up to 5 minutes or so...

Anyway, pardon me for being attentive!

Learned Counsel could always make new posts rather than extending old ones, presumably with the express intention of bamboozling the judiciary

Not sure about the first - but certainly many (and cf. the recording in the recent mega Sir CC box set) performances of the PC2. And wrote the Improvisations you mention.

                        One more, very easy.
