We are looking for the title of a piece of music, of which each of them wrote at least one with that title, but not something for which they are well known.
Good joint effort. I think as Anna got two of the three composers it is her privilege to set a U. Perhaps that will take us over the 3000 posts on this thread. I notice that we have just passed 25000 views.
well done Anna! and I think they all composed tangos...
Indeed they did. Albeniz Tango from a collection entitled Espana, Walton Tango-Pasodoble from Facade and Stravinsky Tango (which seems to be the first piece he composed in America)

Great question! I was so close but oh so far!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
OK, this is fairly easy I think as not many words begin with a U and too few composers !!
Which U would you find in a String Quintet by a Scandinavian composer, an Orchestral piece by an American composer and a Song Cycle by a French composer. The first two are living and very close in age.
I have a U quintet from the fjords and several song cycles with the same U but none of them dead or French - I'm growing to hate this thread- does everyone get like this, this early!?
