        I'm lost.

I wish someone - teamsaint? - would come up with the answer!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Valhalla? Long shot, I know, and couldn't explain why.

            No...Ma Vlast.

Vyšehrad first movement ties into where Dvorak's ashes were scattered

Tabor another movement. Traditional location for the Mount of Transfiguration ...

And Blanik....rumoured to be the Czech equivalent of Tintagel....where Wenceslas sleeping army is waiting.

              V for Vyšehrad ?

Dvořák's remains are interred there, and it is associated in legend with the transfiguration of Christ... and...

There is a hotel of that name (sleeping quarters) near Wenceslas Square in Prague:

EDIT: Cross posted with Rezza and with mercia's clues...

[I assume Vysehrad was what anton was on about with his steep walk up a V]

answer to what? sorry, accidentally popped onto the thread and thought there was a Johnny Cash chat going on. I already promised to leave!
Incidentally, I am quite good at finishing off crosswords, though lousy at actually doing them....if that helps, which I don't expect it will.
I thought Athletico Spizz 80 might have been the connection with Central Park...and then i thought ...probably not !
                    Off to the fireworks now.

Incidentally, the conversation about "Big River " between AG and me was part of the thread, just a misunderstood, bad bit, on my part. Sorry.

Yes nice one Rezza! I stumbled part way there... (Quite like my hotel answer though... )

I have often said it about myself but never met anyone with the same tendency. I'm a goal-poacher too ... can't be a***d with all the dribbling and passing from the far end of the pitch

Incidentally, now there's a pause: did you go and see 'Skyfall'? I did - immensely enjoyable. What a romp! Bardem's villain quite brilliant I thought... and some magnificent settings. Plus lots for Dame Judi to do - inc the climax with another acting legend! (not Craig!).

well, like with sodoku, I tend to hit a minor barrier early on, look at the upcoming 92 questions, and think...."where is that Arnold(or whatever) Symphony I was going to listen to" !

anyway, every team needs a Rush or a Lineker.... love the analogy. (sounds like an 80's album title).

No, not so far I have seen Skyfall. I dislike Boys Romping and being Macho. Reminds me of Jeremy Clarkson at his worst. But it is playing here until Nov 8th. We shall see.

... but Bardem's baddie is anything but macho ... the first whiff of homoeroticism in a Bond fillum... and as I say, the movie's almost more about Dame JD's "M" and her... difficulties... than it is about Bond. I'd urge you to see it!
