I resorted to the thesaurus last night in re: "talkative" and indeed did the "Gabby" Fauré gag in my head at about 1 o'clock this morning.

Didn't think it was worth posting though...

Not that I know of - tbh I thought 'bag of monkeys' was an expression in fairly common use - although I suppose I could always pretend it gave a further clue to the final answer! The Liverpool clue hasn't been helpful to anyone - yet!

Stuck on chatty Kipling composers: if not If, then Gunga Din?

(I googled "gunga" under "slang" and got a meaning that had nothing to do with "chatty"! )

I guess the most famous are If and Gunga Din and his most notorious (now non-PC) Fuzzy-Wuzzy I'd never heard of the expression 'bag of monkeys' but I'd heard of 'craftier than a cart full of monkeys'
