Can't wait for the Reveal!!"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Frei aber einsam was Joachim's motto. Brahms contributed a movement to the FAE Sonata. And apparently there's a quotation in Enigma Variation XIII. However, these don't seem to quite match up with the clues.....

Looking at this again, echoes was a little distant in its German translation. Anklänge is the word. Shall I spread the coleslaw on the paté and toast?
As Northo correctly said, the F-A-E Sonata for violin and piano was a collaboration by Schumann, Brahms, and Albert Dietrich written as a bit of fun for Joachim, whose motto was "Frei aber einsam" (free but lonely). Brahms's Scherzo is often heard.
Anklänge (Echoes) - from Six Songs op. 7, no. 3.
Gesang aus Fingal for female voices, 2 horns, and harp, Op.17
Would Northo Care to Cut in with a C?Pacta sunt servanda !!!

Well, I have had a 'C' on the stocks for (literally) months, but don't wish to impose.....
EDIT:
To be fair to Flay, I found this in my main German>English dictionary:
Die Anklänge an Mozart sind unverkennbar = The echoes of Mozart are unmistakable
