      just realised that I did look at Mr Wispelwey's page in wikipedia when trying to find an answer to the question but neither piccolo cellos or marathon playing sessions are mentioned there [ nor, at a quick glance, are those two facts even mentioned in his personal website - not of course that I'm casting any doubts, but if one is to have a chance of answering ................ ]
