perhaps we should narrow down who these three are first

    a thumbs up for Britten

Walton? Elgar? RVW? Arnold? Knussen? Tippett ?

come to think of it, haven't all British composers turned their hand to conducting [at least of their own works]?

Which group of singers is back in the UK after a 10-year absence?

I'll leave you with some clues to consider while I have my supper:
Your'e looking for a choral symphony, a favourite from the world of British light music and an Austrian commission for choir.
Britten is the composer of one of these works.

Well it fits - they were in our neck of the woods over the weekend, and now off to Manchester.

The Golden Vanity was written at the request of the Vienna Boys Choir and first performed by them at the 1967 Aldeburgh Festival.

The Golden Vanity - commissioned from the well known conductor/composer Benjamin Britten by the Wiener Knabenchor.
                          One down, two to go!
                          EDIT:

                            Naughty!

                            Could have been worse.

The boy stood on the burning deck
                            The crew said "Silly Billy"
                            "No no!" he cried
                            "That's not my name.
                            I'm Jack; the captain's Willy"
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
