I'm assuming that this is the music theatre actor - am I right? And that his Op 1 is a String Quartet?

I find this on the last.fm site: "Glenn Gould & Juilliard String Quartet... We don’t have a description for this artist yet, care to help?"

            Any offers?

After that herculean effort I reckon it's a good time to toddle off for a snoozle - back in a while, y'all

Yes, AA can be exhausting. I have exhausted all the Gould references I can find to the string quartet but cannot find any mention of a helper.

You could add Goossens and Zinman to Coates and Elder

Coates? Would that not be Eric but Albert? (only asking, absolutely no idea on this one) Goossens of course, is sex scandals.

I cannot even remember why I said Albert! OK, well that's a clue for others, I have dinner guests arriving. The composer helping Glenn Gould, that also defeated me, this is a tough question!

when I put Elder, Coates, Zinman and Goossens into google I get Rochester Philharmonic - all one-time conductors thereof

David Diamond who advised GG on his op. 1 was born in Rochester, NY
JSB played Mr Rochester in Jane Eyre, the musical

didn't know GG was a composer
apparently JSB also appeared in this
