They all wrote works called Kullervo, based on the legend of the slave-boy in the Kalevala.
Well done, Ofca
Your L...
Kicking myself - I immediately thought Kullervo, checked it out as dating from 1913, but then dismissed it as I assumed (fatal!) that no one else had named a piece that. Too busy hunting for amusing old Two Ronnies sketches. What a lightweight...
Oooops - overdue for the 5.30 meds.
*Gulp*
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Know how you feel, kicking myself for the I as I figured it was Delius but then re-reading the question thought they had to have died in the 19th, not 20th century so I dismissed it. Still, it's only a bit of enjoyable fun, no-one gets competitive about it, thank goodness

Reason: speling, again
Cheeky monkey!! I've corrected it now! Wrongly!! And actually, since you ask, I do have a rather nice glass of 2005 Rioja in my hand whilst I am cooking a curry!
An easy 'L' (honestly!)
Where did a German get upset by the audience, an Englishman succeed despite a non-classical background, and an American not inspire confidence?

Left over from last night's pizza accompaniment, I assume Anna? It will have settled nicely if it breathed a bit yesterday and then was closed till this evening. Yum yum...
It's an international gastronimic kaleidoscope down your way.... [*finds we lack a smiley with tongue hanging out...*]

There are some amazing deals on at the Co-Op with 2005 Rioja at the moment. Mrs R and I have filled our boots!
OMG rubbra, the CoOp is the very same source of it, plus a rather delicious Chilean Carmenere, 2008 known as the Lost Grape of Bordeaux. Very plummy accentuated with cedar and cloves.
Now, let us desist otherwise we will have the English coming across the border and raiding our CoOps!
