Resurrection Man
Just popping out for a couple of pints of beer (that's not a clue!) and expect my wife will have a glass of wine or two (but that is!). Will check back in an hour or so.

Well done, Mercia.
Two of the Space Shuttles were called Discovery and Columbia (which is a derivative of Columbus). The Voyage was all about discovery etc according to Groves and one of the characters The Scientist was rumoured to have been absed on Stephen Hawkins who views the world from his wheelchair.
Over to you for the next one.

Would that be Weingartner: Symphony No. 6, Op. 74 in B minor “La Tragica” on CD ...
Beethoven (orch. Weingartner) Sonata No. 29 -
or for his idiomatic arrangement of Franz Schubert's sketches for the Symphony in E major, D. 729. ??

I'm afraid that I have never heard of him or the link to a cat! A lucky strike on Googling Piano Sonata No 29 gave me his name...and then further Googling to confirm it.
I would like to chicken out and jump to A if that is OK with everyone.
And so on that assumption (!), I am after ..
an A to link nine vocalists, Mozart's memory and a pupil of Thomas Arne.
