One of Helmut's hats ... err ... hits was a little number called Holiday in Spain (sadly unavailable on youTube!)

Helmut (or perhaps Abigail Rosen) with Op 64; Christian with Op 57; Leanne with Op 43. Which A?

EDIT: first version of this altered to avoid ambiguity!

Ammi, Had you mentioned Tokyo or Mexico it might have been easier to identify - the Spanish thing meant little to me!

About to sign off for the night, peoples; any offers in the next 10 mins or so? Otherwise I'll deal with replies in the morning. (Abigail Rosen is probably the main clue: sort her out and you'll get there just like that <snapfingersemoticon>!

Is every one on a go slow today?

              Appassionata:

Abigail Rosen - fictional violinist nicknamed "Appassionata"
Mendelsohn - Violin Concerto, Op 64, first movement: Allegro molto Appassionata
Beethoven - Piano Sonata No 23, Op 57: "Appassionata"
Saint-Saëns - Allegro Appassionata, Op 43 for Cello and Orchestra

Thank you, subby: I knew you'd deliver! - and with coleslaw included. (And I admire your better taste than mine in not naming the source of the fictional Ms Rosen: there was a clue in the "just like that" comment of my last post.)

The B is yours, and I take this opportunity to bow out of AA activities for the time being: my partner is unwell and needs more of my time than is fair to other Associatistes.

                Best Wishes.

                  Best Wishes.
And best wishes to you too, ferns, and to your other half - hope illness soon departs, and as a happy by-product you will soon be able to return

I am bringing young persons of different nations together today, setting off soon, and so shall be away till the end of the day.

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.

Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

All three correct. Howard Ferguson wrote a set of Five Bagatelles for piano, op. 9.
