At the risk of becoming AA's equivalent of a vexatious litigant, can somebody please tell me, like, where we're at, man? Has the 'L' question been fully and correctly answered, and if so, from whom can we expect an 'M'?

I looked last night and detecting the status of the L was beyond me, too. Cloughie, can you enlighten us?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

L is over and done with. It didn't attract much interest so I answered it myself

George Lloyd, served on HMS Trinidad, composed English Heritage and "Scapegoat" Piano Concerto

I saw that. What's the address though? Lloyds of London or what?

... it's the address of (among other things) English Heritage.

Thanks Mr V. I always think it's a little much to have to google the answers as well as the questions! Call me lazy.

Also, can I make a plea for puzzle setters to stick by the original rules and post the new puzzle in coloured text? Having been away, and busy, and Olympics, I scroll through looking for the start of the puzzle by looking for the colour, not reading all the posts. Having just scrolled through 7 days worth it's only Dear mercia who is doing it. OK, call me a pedant .....

As a relative newcomer to the board I wasn't aware of the colour thing - anyway life's too short to faff around with fonts!

Do you have a favourite colour?
