Sea was a massive clue...and without that I'd not have made any progress! There have been some really clever clues recently and not sure if I can rise to the occasion.

An S, please, to link a planetary object, a TV character and works of art.

I don't really know where to start, RM

            Any chance of a clue?

The planetary body is named after S.

The TV character is from a US series ..(now in its fifth series)...named after S

There are many paintings that feature S

I could have gone on to specify many other ouevre that are also named after S

                    assuming there's a musical connection, is S a composer ?

I think there are asteroids named after just about everybody

No, not a composer but most definitely a musical connection.

Is it the character or the series that is named after S?

I've checked Mad Men, The Office, Castle, Dexter, ... and I don't watch these programmes

The US series is more other-worldly. Sounds as if you're clutching at straws

No no, as I explained I'm being methodical but I still don't know if it's the character or the series that starts with S
