The Tube however is utterly vile - crowded, very hot and must be close to 100% humidity. I'm steering clear of it as best I can - buses for me or Shanks' pony

Certain amount of buzz, no heaving that I've spotted... Hyde Park full of pastel-jerkin'd stewards. If anything less ordinary traffic than normal. A rather agreeable ride in this morning (bit of a cooling breeze compared with yesterday)
Earlier we had Esa-Pekka Salonen bearing his torch aloft... https://twitter.com/esapekkasalonen/...174082/photo/1"...the isle is full of noises,

Is the S Sy/ilvester?
Victor Sylvester wrote a waltz medley
The cocreator with Steve Allen of The Tonight Show was Sylvester Barnabee "Pat" Weaver
err.... that's it so far"...the isle is full of noises,

"You'd never catch Silvestri holding an unlit torch like that" says another anonymous tweeter
