Well by the sounds of it, they are those things that the saint-like Madame V spends her time doing... when she gets home from work!!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
I was hoping to drum up a bit more interest, to be honest.
... aha! it's his famous baguettes garnies! The sponge-headed drumsticks needed in Sinf Ftstque (among others). And the baguette is a conductor's bâton...

Anna...why didn't you go with the answer as you knew it ! Just curious.
Because I have no time to devise or monitor a question plus no time to look up his various breadsticks. I was just hopeful that my post would assist in the solving (just trying to be helpful!)

Anna is the Florence Nightingale of the AA thread, administering cheerful aid to those who lie twisting in agony as a result of the alphabetical injuries they suffer, and bringing a little light into their lives. Then she says she has to go - but in fact remains, though her little green light may be switched off, watching o'er the afflicted and ready at all times to trip back with a gentle smile and cheery quip, to mop a fever'd brow or lance a boil.

Ahem! I'll gladly mop your brow, with a gentle smile, but your boils are your own concern Duckie!!
My disappearing is no different from anyone else having to get some work done is it?

I know EXACTLY how you fell on that score. One feels embarrassed if one doesn't come up with a question pronto and then doubly embarrassed when folks are asking questions.

MICHAEL COLLINS PERSSE the teacher by any chance ?
