You can have one. I have 2 of my own and a friend's to walk this morning, and the sun is shining!

Please don't give up. You have the Mikado, tra la! And you have (indirectly) a work of Pope. And a certain male singer who has applied himself.

If you err on this divine B, I'll forgive you, you're only human.

I've now consulted your helpful visual clues, and the answer is clearly Bimbo - or Babe - but which?

Neither unfortunately. I was just playing about, had nothing better to do.... (plenty I should have been doing).

No, the last few posts should help: plenty of clues, tra la!

That visual clue led me down the wrong path I think and I was faffing around with her family to no avail. Is the indirect Pope clue one of his (disguised?) characters which links to The Mikado?

I'm sorry, but I did say "not this B"

The Mikado and the Pope are separate answers, although the B is the same word.

The Mikado one is stupidly simple, tra la!

So, from your Pope quote and your essayed we are looking at his An Essay on Criticism?
Edit: I can get a popular song from that (Fools rush In) but haven't time to see if it links to The Mikado and Flowers that Bloom, etc.

Somebody called Harold Bloom (as in 'The Flowers That ... In the Spring') wrote a book about Alexander Pope...But the close-up of the young lady's hair might suggest Lock (as in 'The Rape Of The...')

                              Bloom but not Harold.

Please forget the pictures (but you can actually slide left to right on that picture if you can't see it all, you will see that it was Drew Barrymore). I was fiddling with what can be done formatting these posts
