No, the removeable casserole pot part of the slowcooker has a heat-sensor!! Do you think I'm that thick that I thought you were so thick ........ It's also the reason, when you wash the casserole pot you cannot leave the base soaking in water ......... Domestic God? I'm having my doubts now ..........
Edit: Maybe Flay has a swanky start of the art slowcooker which can be put in the oven, I know mine cannot. So apologies for casting aspersions on his catering abilities!!
