Yes, Arthur Somervell and Hugh Stevenson Roberton. And yes, there's a Shropshire connection, although that's not the actual answer. The names are listed in order of publication of the works in question.
I wondered about Harty, but if it is chronological by dates of birth I don't think he fits
mind you, was it northerner who had Haydn Symphony 99 as "the first in double figures" ? [or was that cloughie?]
perhaps it's chronological backwards or dates of death
Actually, it was I (Northender, the non-Northerner ), and it was 'only just in double digits' because the next one was Number 100.
The earliest of these 5 settings dates from shortly after a pretty unsuccessful war and the latest from the year which saw the start of a much greater conflict.
I shall now leave matters in abeyance until the Czechs, Portuguese, Venezuelans and Scots have all finished. If anybody would like another clue, I'll be happy to oblige after 2230 hours.
One title, common to the following, whom I've listed in chronological order, just to make it easy
Just settling back in... with a chortle
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

'fraid I still don't know who Peel and Johnson are, and can't find any lists of works by Somervell or Roberton [apart from Springtime by Somervell]
is Hamilton Harty the other person ? I see both Spring and Summer featuring in his output.
Good Morrow to you Springtime by Roberton ? [no idea of date]
Robert Johnson 1911-1938 ?
Trent Johnson - In Homage of Spring [2009] ?
Gerald Graham Peel 1878-1937 ? - Spring Song ? [no idea of date]
"ain't no cure for the summertime blues"
start again
Somervell - On the idle hill of summer [1904 ?] ??
Hamilton Harty - When summer comes [1909] ??
Gerald Graham Peel - Summer highland days [1924] ?
Hugh Roberton - As torrents in summer [can't find date]
can't do Johnson
