The Badinerie is a movement from Britten's fabulous Diversions - for Left hand piano and orchestra...

Left is the only L I can get.... apart from Leon Fleischer who made it a party piece.

But I can't get a connection to the other elements of the puzzle...

Paul Wittgenstein for whom a few caring composers wrote pieces for left hand, appeared very ungracious about most of them saying they had different levels of unplayability. Now I can understand him being grumpy having lost his right arm but when the good and the great composers had shown their reverence by writing stuff for his remaining arm you'd have thought he'd have been a bit grateful!
