Probably not a great deal of retail therapy options, though...
Only paper available to buy was the Express: "there's not much in this is there?"

Thanks, Anton. Reading further the Glass work didn't in fact get the prize:
"A 1985 production in Cambridge, Massachusetts, of the work's Cologne sections prompted an unanimous vote by the Pulitzer Prize jury to award the drama prize to the CIVIL warS in 1986; the Pulitzer board overruled the jury, however, and no drama prize was given that year."

      We try...

Indeed, and I was earlier wondering about Marie-Therese von Paradis (born in Koln) and Ian Paradis, who (together with JR Wagner) wrote the blockbuster Thermal Periodic Contact of Exhaust Valves in Spark Ignition Air-Cooled Engines: a great favourite at my local Glee Club.

I can find only two musical works called Internal Combustion, one of them seems to have vague Pennsylvania connections

I think you threw me by the way you wrote it down - I was looking for a partner for Vanessa, not her composer.
