Some clues to the W.
Shrapnel. Strauss. Fleas. One name
The clues have bamboozled me even further!

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Robert Walker composed My Dog has Fleas: a Capriccio for scratch orchestra (using a four-note tone row based on the tuning of the strings of a ukulele).

Just posted to Caliban and then saw subcontra had got the two remaining Walker elements! Robert Walker also composed English Parody Mass (mentioned in my original clue) which we've had before in another question on AA I think but a different letter. I'm not sure how often Sarah Walker is presenting on R3 these days. So I think it's over to subcontra for the letter of his choice.
