I had not heard of the Glasshouse, although had heard of its sibling Chez Bruce. I've not ventured to any of the three in that 'group' alas, though noone has anything but praise for them.

I suggest that either the person who deciphers the connection, or the person who sets it in the first place, explains the solution and the meaning of the clues at the conclusion. This would prevent this sort of confusion. You could churlishly refer to it as 'beefy's rule'.
