I would jump in with a clue but gotta dash
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

The little bits of these that I have seen seem rather fast paced compared with the Ingmar Bergman films that were shown regularly in a local cinema in my student days.

I think silence means a resounding Yes for your attractive A

My favourite Ingmar Bergman film is probably 'The Inn Of The Sixth Happiness', although she and Dirk Bogarde were very good in 'Casablanca'.

                  Okey-dokey:

Sounds like Benny's quartet is giving the opening of one of Parry's most famous pieces, but a musical motto is involved, too.

Bit of a guess (but better to get it out of the way!) Parry's most famous is probably Jersusalem, which refers to Avalon (Glastonbury) legend and Benny Goodman quartet played Avalon .... stumped for a motto, am I getting close or hopelessly wrong?

                        No, not that one.

(Didn't know about Benny G's Avalon; shall look it up. )

Not that piece or not that Parry?
                              Is Benny, Goodman?

Maybe the wrong Parry, Anna What about Herbert Parry's sister Gwennie who lived two doors down from the Parch?

No, can't be - she did double glazing, not anthems.

Run out of Parrys now we have
