Yes - you're looking for three stations, the names of which are musical offerings by a recently deceased singer/songwriter, a co-founder of Private Eye, and a Goon.

No, the singer/songwriter in question died only recently.

Is it Neasden? Like Eye’s fictional proprietor, Lord Gnome . Background music was provided by William Rushton’s recording of Neasden (1972) (“Neasden/You won’t be sorry that you breezed in”)

Oh well, I think I got Gerry Rafferty right. Poor bloke, you have to feel sorry for him. gone the way of all flesh, so to speak. Anyway, off for now, happy hunting.

                  NEASDEN!
Oh where the rissoles are deep-freezed-en
Oh where there’s Bingo and Boutiques,
And the Wimpy’s last for weeks,
And very tasty too with a slice of cheeseden!

                  NEASDEN!
You couldn’t want a better reasden,
Oh now I will not fake the thrill
When we hear at Forest Hill
That the next stop on the line
Is the place that I call mine
                  Is it Sodom or Gomorrah?
                  No it’s God’s own Borough!

Totally, hercule gets it. Well done to him. Brilliant. It's Tuesday, Holby City, gosh, how many times will I have to perform CPR? Or insert a Cannula? I think those things are easier than solving one of the puzzles.

Holby City! Who's going downmarket now?
Yes, the Underground connects Gerry Rafferty (Baker Street), Willie Rushton (Neasden) and Peter Sellers (Balham - Gateway To The South - 'Honey's Off, dear').
Well done all - hope you enjoyed it.
On to V (with Hercule, oui?)

What V connects a Bucks Bottom, a Nicopeian lady and the first book of sheet music printed from movable type?
The second and third lead to Venice.

That'll be two Nielsens and two Venices then - are we getting stale?

I was just observing that in the life of this thread we have had the solution of 'Nielsen' for an 'N' question twice, and likewise 'Venice' for 'V' twice. (Not an admonishment, I hasten to add.)

As soon as we get to Z, and the current questions and answers are published, as Volume One of 'The FoR3 Quiz Book', it will be easier to keep ourselves on the straight and narrow.

I don't know about Jude, but various members of the Shelley family lived, at some time or other, in Marlow Bottom and in Venice.

my Jude the Obscure clue is to do with his surname, which will lead you to my Buckinghamshire village (don't forget the bottom), which will lead you to (probably) it's most famous inhabitant and her musical Venice link
                                Jude Fawley

Edit: The artist John Piper and his wife, the librettist Myfanwy Piper, were notable long-term residents of Fawley Bottom Farmhouse (googled)

Further edit: Myfanwy Piper wrote the libretto for Death in Venice - just checked and yes, she did.
