OMG! (as Anna would say)... I was thinking Archie Rice last night! But didn't take the step to thinking Olivier...

Must have been the Old Hooky...

Neat puzzle and neat answer! And you gave me the Olivier Latry clue the other day, ams!

You have some PM'd perticklers re: The Prince Alfred, Ams - further and better required? The other thing is, it's on a nice street corner, very peaceful - most agreeable for lounging outside where we largely were despite the chilly breeze... because it's quite small inside, and of a Saturday evening rather noisy. It would have been a very inferior evening if it had been raining...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Does it? I've never met a bloke called Shelly. Except Percy of course, and he's got an extra e. Are we looking for films rather than anything classical?

Here's Shelley Berman (and extra 'e' I know) just talking to himself

This is a Radio 3 board. We should never be "thinking crossover"

PS: I think Shelly was a popular name in Jewish families in the US during a particular period. I've known of a few. I had a meeting with someone called Shelly in the US once and had geared up to meet a lady... rapid readjustment required when a bearded gentleman emerged to shake my hand...
