It's too close to mess around: they all three wrote a Rain Song - I was thinking the German "Regenlied"... Reinecke's I think for chorus, the other two for solo voice.
good skills!!! I think ferney may be working on his S... but maybe you're happy with your win, without having to set one?
There were indeed several Rain variations to choose from ..... No, I don't want to set one, will happily wait for ferney and his Sparkling S !! Also, not sure if I'm around much today

What S connects Maxwell Davies, Ken Russell and, let us pray, Pete Doherty? Not a sausage!

I believe it's Doherty. Vile person IMHO.

If Susan Boyle is SuBo what's Pete Doherty? (It has been asked)

It is, indeed; I'd thought I'd corrected this!

                Brilliant! Hadn't heard that one!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Are you suggesting he should be filed away somewhere, preferably away from small children!

Satan, by any chance - Russell diected The Devils, Maxwell Davies wrote the music and it has been suggested that PD is Satan.

Flay, you'll never get them if you don't follow the advice in the other thread! Don't switch pages and come on here, just sit on RAH site and don't press refresh!

Off for lunch and The News Quiz for 30 mins or so.

I would just poiunt out that "Salami" was the sausage I had in mind when I put "Not a sausage".
