Are the reconstructions musical à la Payne, Deryck Cooke etc?"...the isle is full of noises,

Welles?
Orson of that ilk made
- Chimes at Midnight based on the Falstaff story
- A number of Welles's movies had to be reconstructed (Magnificent Ambersons, Touch of Evil) having been re-edited by the studios...
And then there's a jazz trombonist called Dickie Wells (which 'sounds like' Welles)
But what's the damned cricket connection? Other than http://www.wellscricketclub.com/"...the isle is full of noises,

are the reconstructions of one particular piece or several?
is the W the reconstructor or the composer of the piece(s) being reconstructed?
or the name of the piece(s) being reconstructed?
the only things I can find being reconstructed from recordings are an organist's improvisations
or possibly piano piecesLast edited by mercia; 07-05-12, 08:49.
