I suspect all we can do now is await Cloughie's return. I'm not going to be around now for an hour or two...

Cloughie: in the words (more or less) of Bjørge Lillelien during Norway's 2-1 victory against England in the World Cup qualifier in Oslo on 9 September 1981:

"Lord Nelson, Lord Beaverbrook, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Anthony Eden, Clement Attlee, Henry Cooper, Lady Diana: vi har slått dem alle sammen, vi har slått dem alle sammen. Cloughie, can you hear me? Cloughie: your boys (and girl) took an L of a beating! Your boys (and girl) took an L of a beating!"
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Ammy, what you on? Llangollen is miles away from Llangefni. Has cloughie got confused with Clywd being merged with Flintshire, Denbighshire and Merionithshire and then morphing into something else completely different? We shall await a Welsh geography lesson from him ....... Assuming of course that Caliban is correct with his solution.

"Lady in the Dark" is a musical with music by Kurt Weill (husband of Lotte Lenya), lyrics by Ira Gershwin

"Lady Jane" is a Rolling Stones song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards (aka 'The Glimmer Twins') featured on their 1966 album Aftermath.

"Lady Radnor's Suite" (Parry)... Radnor being in the Marches of Welsh Wales....

I shan't be online for an hour or so, but shall think of an M over a stiff Martini or three

Cali, I hope my clues have not shaken and stirred you and driven you to drink....
*After all these years, Aftermath is still my favourite Stones album.
