It's easy really - both Kuhnau and Bach wrote a Magnificat, and a cantata called 'How beautifully shines the morning star' (and he was the predecessor as Cantor at St Thomas's in Leipzig but you knew that).
And he collaborated with Bach on various organ projects e.g. in Halle
